How to tune a Handpan

You don't retune a handpan yourself, but you can check it: compare each tone field with scales like D Kurd, C Major or Celtic minor.

Step by step

  1. Allow microphone access when your browser asks (audio stays on your device).
  2. Play one note and let it ring. The tuner detects which string or note you are playing.
  3. Follow the needle: left means flat (tighten / raise), right means sharp (loosen / lower).
  4. When the note turns green you are within ±3 cents. Move on to the next one.

Pro tip

If several notes are more than 10–15 cents off, contact a professional tuner.
